VOLUNTEER WITH PTSA

MAKE A DIFFERENCE AT MILLS PARK!

Whether you are new to Mills Park or this is your third year here, your time and talents are needed! Find your perfect fit and help the students and teachers grow at MPMS. You are also more than welcome to attend the monthly PTSA business meetings (held the second Friday of every month) to let us know about a new and creative way to serve the MPMS community!

MPMS PTSA is only as strong as the time and talent that our members are willing to share. For detailed information about any opportunities listed below, contact the board/chair person listed or PTSA President at president@mpmsptsa.org.

General volunteers (all year on an as needed basis) are needed for events such as Picture Day, Mills Madness Family Night, EOG Proctoring and other events. Remember, any amount of time you can give is deeply appreciated. If you would like to be added to the General Volunteer Opportunities email list, please click here.

Spirit Wear (all year as needed) – Help us sell spirit wear at events like Open House and Mills Madness. Volunteers also help sort, package and deliver orders to homeroom teachers when shipments are delivered by the vendor. Please contact spiritwear@mpmsptsa.org if you are interested in helping.

Mills Madness Family Event (Jan – Mar) – Mills Madness is a HUGE school and community fundraiser event featuring incredible raffle baskets and a staff vs. student basketball game!  We start preparing for Mills Madness in earnest after the Winter Break. You can contact millsmadness@mpmsptsa.org with questions. Please also check out the Mills Madness Family Event web page.

Staff Appreciation (all year as needed) – Help with lunches and snacks for teachers and staff throughout the year. Volunteers are generally asked to help serve or contribute goodies. Please contact president@mpmsptsa.org if you are interested in helping out.

Reflections (Aug – Oct) - Reflections is a national PTSA sponsored student cultural arts contest. Help is needed to organize the event and to get the word out. Information about this program will come out in early September. You can also visit the Reflections page on our website.

8th Grade Events (all year, but mostly Apr – Jun) – Help with the 8th Grade Dance and End-of-Year Picnic and other events. Email president@mpmsptsa.org to learn more about 8th Grade Events.

Media Center (all year) – The Media Center needs your help shelving books and assisting the media specialist. See the Media Center website for more information.

Spirit Events (during Football and Basketball Seasons) –MPMS currently has no Athletic Booster committee, and PTSA has stepped in to help provide food, snack and drink at some of the well attended Athletic games during the year. Teens may volunteer with the help of their parent. If you are interested in finding out more information please contact president@mpmsptsa.org. Signups are shared in the Newsletter and via General Volunteer signup.

Nominating Committee (May – Jun) – If you are interested in helping to recruit volunteers for leadership positions in the PTSA, please contact president@mpmsptsa.org.
